中国科学技术大学西雅图校友会是在华盛顿州正式注册并得到IRS批准的501(c)(3)非营利组织。目前，西雅图地区有近千名中国科大校友。学术界的校友主要集中在华盛顿大学，工业界校友遍布Microsoft、Amazon、Google、META、Uber、Oracle、Boeing等知名企业。我们还有许多校友在这里创业，尤其在AI行业表现活跃。
近年来，校友会通过组织年会，并与其他中国科大校友组织及西雅图当地华人协会共同举办各类活动，持续促进校友之间的联络与交流。校友会的宗旨是发挥纽带作用，依托中国科大校友资源，推动校友与社区的共同成长。我们相信，一个透明、规范、开放的校友会能够为校友和社区创造更多价值。

校友会组织框架

目前，袁野（1108）担任执委会会长，任期为2025-2028年。校友会现任理事包括韦勇凤（9916）、黄溯（0001/0017，理事会主席）、张博（0011）、陈超（SA05010）、刘晨（1006）、袁野（1108）以及张萌慧（1417，理事会财务和秘书）。

校友会历史和历届成员

校友会成立于1999年，早期核心成员包括田野（78级）、谢育涛（88少）、汪涛（88少）和汪军华（9316）。2012年6月，科大代表团访美期间校友会完成换届，核心成员包括卢梅（9211）、张蒲生（9411）、盛夏（9514）和张磊（0109）。2014年，校友会正式设立会长职务，张蒲生（9411）担任首任会长（2014-2016），彭燕林（9506）于2016-2021年担任第二任会长。
2017年，校友会设立理事会，并于2018年在华盛顿州正式注册，2020年获得IRS批准，成为正式的501(c)(3)组织。彭燕林（9506）在2017-2023年期间担任理事会主席。陈玮晔（0700）和沈文博（0704）曾于2017-2019年担任校友会理事。自2021年起，校友会逐步区分理事会与执委会职能，具体事务由执委会负责。刘晨（1106）与黄溯（0001/0017）分别在2021-2023年和2023-2025年担任执委会会长。

The USTC Alumni Association in Greater Seattle was established in 1999 and was officially registered in Washington State in 2018. In 2020, it was recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Nearly 1,000 USTC alumni reside in the Seattle area, with a strong academic presence at the University of Washington and a broad industrial presence across major companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, META, Uber, Oracle, and Boeing. Additionally, many of our alumni are actively involved in growing startups, particularly in the AI sector.

In recent years, we have strengthened connections among our members through our annual events and by collaborating with other USTC alumni associations and local Chinese organizations in Seattle. Our mission is to serve as a bridge, leveraging USTC alumni resources to foster mutual development for both our alumni and the broader community. We believe that a transparent, formal, and open alumni association can bring greater value to both alumni and the community.
